Woolworths Tinted Moisturiser

So last week I decided to go past one of the Woolies stores to check for a primer, since I was having issues with the staying power of my foundation and the fact that I got greasy to quickly. Lo and behold I spotted tinted moisturisers on sale, the original price was R120 and they were marked down to R60, so I decide to take two. When I got to the till they were further marked down to R29 now for fear of them not being perfect two was not a bad number.

So I get home wash my face and tried it on.... They are so moisturising and the perfect shade which was perfect, light weight too now already Im doing splits. I kicked myself for just getting two, I know I should have gotten more. Will go back again sometime next week.

Woolies T/M in Dark
Easy to use and squeeze out.

Blended slightly
The shade

What it claims
  • Formulated with botanical extracts formulated from kudzu plant
  • Help even out skin tone
  • Has natural anti-oxidants
  • Quick absorbing

Pro's

  • Light weight and sheer coverage
  • Easy to dispense
  • Not tested on animals
  • Plastic packaging wont break when it falls
Cons
  • Black packaging you cant tell when product is done
  • Blush and powder wear off before the day is over
So far Im enjoying it, first time using a T/M, will buy different ones in the future and see how they compare to this one.

MAC's Back to Mac Programme

I  know not a lot of people know about MAC's Back2MAC programme so I thought I'd do a quick post about it.MAC allows customers to take back empty containers of MAC products that can be recycled and you will get a free lippie, I mean how amazing right?!

The Back2MAC programme is where you can take back 6 empty MAC products to a MAC counter or MAC store, which they will recycle for you and give you a lipstick of your choice in return! You can choose any lipstick you want including limited edition lipsticks apart from Viva Glam lipsticks as 100% of the retail price of the Viva Glam lipsticks goes to organisations that help people living with HIV/AIDS.

The things that MAC will accept for the Back 2 MAC are:
  • Empty Eyeshadow
  • Empty Trio Eyeshadow Compact
  • Empty Quad Eyeshadow Compact
  • Empty Cream Colour Base
  • Empty Paint Pot
  • Empty Lash Trays
  • Empty Pigment
  • Empty Liquid Liner Tube
  • Empty Powder Compact
  • Empty Mascara Tube
  • Empty Eyeliner Pots
  • Empty Blush Compact
  • Empty Lipstick Tube
  • Empty Lipglass Tube
  • Empty Foundation Bottle
  • Empty Foundation Tube
  • Empty Brush Cleaner Bottle
  • Empty Face Wipes Packet
  • Empty Concealer Tube
  • Empty Concealer Pot
  • Empty Skincare Bottles
  • Empty Skincare Tubes
  • Empty Primer Tubes

They take back pretty much anything that comes in a plastic or glass bottle! The things that MAC will NOT accept are:

Any secondary packaging such as paper boxes, plastic wrappers and shopping bags.
Samples and trial size products
Cosmetic applicators like sponges, tweezers and disposable applicators
Accessories such as bags and make up cases

Although you can't choose a Viva Glam lipstick as your free lipstick, you can return them as one of your 6 empties and MAC will also accept limited edition items for the Back 2 MAC program. You don't need to wash out your empty containers before you take them back, you can even take them back full if you want to.

So go on ladies and get back your moneys worth, well we all know MAC products dont come cheap....

This is not a review

I'm starting to hate having a makeup full face, by the time I get to the office my face is all oily and shiny you can fry amagwinya on it that it makes me feel so uncomfortable and I have to constantly go to the bathroom to blot off the excess oil, and it doesn't matter how much powder I put on. Not that I put on a lot of powder, I don't want it to look all cakey.

I have resorted that until I buy a primer/foundation that would give me a matte look all day, I am not wearing makeup this summer. All I need for my summer look is Concealer, Eyeliner,Mascara ,Lip stain and Gloss and I'm good to go.

And currently I'm using the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in Cafe 30. And no this is not a review, its the first time Ive used concealer and I cant pit it against other concealers Ive used. I'll be sure to buy different ones in the future though. But in the meantime I'm quite happy with how this one performs.

We thank who ever invented concealer!!!

MakeUp: Gurlain Pearly Powder

Now Im a huge fan of all things nice and sparkly, my blush has a bronze effect....and I love just swashing up my face with bronzer. It gives the face a glow, during the day when the sun glistens on the highlighted parts or at night when taking pics. I love bronzers....needless to say I had to showcase my favourite bronzer : Guerlain Terracotta African Rhythm Sun Pearly Powder!! It is such a dream....goes on effortlessly and stays there....the outcome, perfectly even bronzed skin! Im totally in love with it

Dont mind the shoddy looking pics, they were taken on my most basic-est (read basi-kest) BlackBerry

Whats your favourite bronzer??
