2011 Has Been One Crazy Year

I know I have been MIA for a while and my first post for the year would not be proper if i didn't do a 2011 recap.
2011 has been one crazy year! If I could sum 2011 up in one phrase it would be, "Out with the old, in with the new." Let's see...let's do a quick recap. Decided I was done with Pretoria, decided I was done with the ex, decided I was done with my hair, decided I was done with unprincipled people...moved back home, loving my hair after cutting it short, ditched all the fake people in my life (the ex's spot is still vacant, but that's a whole another post).


When I look back over the course of 2011, I really don't have anything bad to say. Even the times when I thought, "See this here is that bullsh*t." weren't really all that bad. I accomplished some major life goals last year and hopefully there's plenty more where that came from. I have grown as a person, as a woman and I'm getting to know how to relate with different people. I have a new found appreciation for true friends...Just because you've known someone for a while doesn't mean you have to hold on to the years and bullsh*t they bring into your life. Ive learnt that if you value someone set aside all your differences and sort things out, taking into consideration if the relationship is worth salvaging. In 2011 I learnt to get over my shyness and break out of the introvert cocoon, Ive bought beautiful clothes and shoes and learnt to appreciate myself more.

In 2012 I have invited love to come and dwell with me, from family to friends and romantic relationships. I have embraced 2012, here's to more growth!
